Minnesota's Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Zoo out of Owatonna, MN is visiting Water's Edge Nature Center and bringing 10 critters with them. If you are a fan of snakes, turtles, salamanders, lizards, frogs, toads and small alligators this program is for you. You'll learn a little about each critter with some time for questions and touching at the end. This is a great program for families and animal lovers of all ages. Don't miss it!

Kossuth County Conservation Board will be hosting local artist Evelyn Ruhnke for a pressed flower workshop. Evelyn will provide the materials for making pressed flower creations like greeting cards. Space is limited. Please call 515-295-2138 to reserve your spot by Friday, July 14 at 4:30 p.m.

Try out our fleet of canoes, kayaks and Paddleboards. Afterwards enjoy a Rootbeer Float. This program is sponsored by the Water's Edge Nature Center Foundation with all proceeds benefiting future environmental education.

An Afternoon with an Eagle--National Eagle Center

The National Eagle Center of Wabasha, MN is bringing a live Bald Eagle to Water's Edge Nature Center. Get an up close look at our national symbol while also learning about eagle biology, ecology, natural history and cultural connections during an engaging and entertaining presentation appropriate for all ages.
