salamanderFun with Skulls
Water's Edge Nature Center

Join us at the nature center to become a skull detective. Learn how to identify animal skulls by narrowing if the skull came from a predator or prey and what the animal would have eaten. There will be games, crafts and other activities. Come on out for a fun evening with the family.

To receive certification, participants must attend all four sessions. The class is offered to anyone 12 years of age, or older, free of charge. The course will cover firearm handling and safety, wildlife management, survival, and various other topics. Live shooting will be offered as part of the class. The course is sponsored by the Kossuth County Conservation Board. Pre-registration is required for the course. Students must register online by clicking here. A manual must also be picked up at the nature center prior to the class. An Afternoon with an Eagle--National Eagle Center

The National Eagle Center of Wabasha, MN is bringing a live Bald Eagle to Water's Edge Nature Center. Get an up close look at our national symbol while also learning about eagle biology, ecology, natural history and cultural connections during an engaging and entertaining presentation appropriate for all ages. This is gonig to be really cool!
